As many other reviews have said, the service was personal and top class. Proper caring waiter - absolutely loved that. We had the three-course menu. We were planning on two-course but had room for a third and to add that on was only an extra £2! We had cauliflower soup and cod loin for starters, salmon tagliatelle (x 2) for mains and chocolate brownie and sticky toffee pudding for dessert. £24 for 2 courses, £26 for 3.

The Jackson Bistro has excellent service. The men hosting and serving are very attentive and nice. The atmosphere was a bit lacking. The food was fine. The steak was well prepared, the fries were a bit greasy and could have been crispier, the ribs were very tender but a bit small and the soy marinade lacked some layers.

really great food with a nice selection of meat and fish options. very extensive wine list with good variety. staff extremely friendly and less than five minutes away from some good bars for a drink afterwards.

Staff were so friendly, lovely and accommodating. Food was great too. They have both cheesecake and pancakes of the day which is a great idea. It was a malteser and baileys cheesecake when we visited and that was delicious!

By far the best restaurant in the area. We visited back in July, so this is a little late posting. I had the soup of the day and beef bourginion, my boyfriend had rack of ribs and slow roast lamb. The food was superb and the staff were truly amazing. Fantastic value and such a lovely, calm atmosphere. I can’t fault a single element of our time at Jackson’s. We’ll be definitely going back! And have already recommended friends and family to visit on their trips in the near future. If I could award more than 5 stars I would! Best find ever.

Probably One of the best meals we've ever had! Absolutely fantastic customer service so friendly, helpful and quick. The food was delicious 😋 like no where else, we will definitely be back and will attach photos below! We have been staying in the lakes for a few days, we go home Monday. If we knew how good the food and service was we would have booked it multiple times to! That's how much we enjoyed it. 10/10 food 10/10 service 10/10 atmosphere

I had to write a review of this lovely restaurant as we had such a great meal here a few nights ago. We are on holiday here so we can only really go on google reviews so we thought we’d try Jackson’s as it had a good score. It was quite busy upstairs so we were the first to be seated downstairs by our courteous waiter. The food was really delicious - we (two adults two teens) all ordered different things, and everyone was very pleased with their choices. The service was excellent - just the right level of attentiveness and charm on what was a busy night for them. The food was presented beautifully and the flavours showed that the chef really knows their stuff! Generous portions too. The 2 or 3 course fixed price options are great value as well. A special meal - thank you!

Very decent. A slight Faux Pas on the veg medley but everything fairly decent. Really liked the confit duck. Service A1 lovely team, owners/operators should be proud. Look after them.
